Curriculum

COURSES:

At MAM, we adhere to the philosophy that every student, regardless of their background or starting point, harbors the potential for learning and growth. Our curriculum is flexible and comprehensive, designed to cater to individuals of diverse levels and age groups. Whether one is a beginner or an experienced learner, our objective is to foster a supportive and enriching educational environment conducive to success.

MAM offers two course pathways: Curricular and Non-Curricular.

1. Curricular Pathway:

Tailored for students aspiring for a comprehensive music education, this program adheres to a structured curriculum encompassing individual instrumental lessons, group Music Theory, Music Appreciation, Choir, and Ensemble classes. Students on this course also benefit from ongoing internal assessments and feedback mechanisms that track their advancement. MAM also helps the students prepare and pursue qualifications examinations from external boards such as the ABRSM and Trinity College London. Students on the Curricular Pathway recieve:

  • One weekly one-to-one instrumental lesson.
  • Theory Classes (Group)
  • Group Reading (Group)
  • Ear Training Classes/Music Appreciation (Group)
  • Choir (Group)

2. Non-Curricular Pathway:

This course is designed for students interested in personalized instrumental lessons without the academic or ensemble components. Students still benefit from ongoing internal and external exams. Students on the Non-Curricular Pathway can sign up to 12 one-to-one instrumental lessons each semester. Length of lessons can be 45 or 60 minutes. 

INSTRUMENTS:

MAM is committed to providing exceptional education and boasts a team of highly skilled and specialized musicians and educators in Jordan. The academy offers lessons for a variety of musical instruments, including:

 

  • Piano
  • Violin
  • Viola
  • Cello
  • Guitar
  • Voice
  • Percussion (Drums)
  • Trumpet

SEMESTERS:

Mam’s school calendar is structured into three semesters outlined below:

  • First Semester: 1st of September to 16th of November (10 Weeks)

  • Second Semester: 17th of November to 15th of February (10 Weeks) 

  • Third Semester: 16th of February to 27th of May (10 Weeks) 

 

Admissions

MAM welcomes students aged 5 and above with or without prior musical experience and is open to students from and outside the Mashrek International School community.
